Zouk

Popular music form marked by afro-Caribbean, jazz, and European rhythms. Listen to this dance craze music style popularized by Kassav and which evolves into different flavors across the Caribbean and Africa. We have the playlist that keep you during the entire time of this show.

 unwind and relax to refreshing beasts from all time favorites. An hour marked with vocals and instrumentals from classic pop and rocking styles jazz. We fill the hour with your favorite vocals, easy pop, and instrumentals.

 Soul/R&B. Mellow romantic, soft jazz, and soft rhythm and blues. A playlist filled with the blend of old and new, from the 70′s funky style to today’s vibrant contemporary style. Be there!

A musical hour comprising of all forms of Christian music from monastic chants to contemporary worship styles, hymns, choirs,  Christian rap , R&B  and more  from different regions across the world.

 Afro Pop

Popular beats of contemporary /urban African music heard in dance halls across Africa and the world.

 Afrobeat

High-energy music best for party music from Nigerian/West African high-life to intensely rhythmic sounds of traditional instruments, chants and call-and-response music. Dance to these fusion of traditional African music, funk, jazz, and vocals wrapped in political undertone and extended grooves.

 Africa Hits

This is AfricaU Radio’s selection of the best of best African music. African music fan or not, you will like this one!

 Children’s Music (coming soon)

Special music and educational program hour exclusively for young and the young at heart to experience “radio time” on AfricaU. We take you on a journey to explore children’s traditional songs and events in the different region of the world. Song selections range from Lullabies,   rhymes, fairy tales to repetitive and educational songs to read/sing alongs to Kids Bop and other programs direct to kids and youth.

 Top 40 Rap/Hip-Hop

Listen to the all things Hip-Hop and Rap from around the world.  From arithmetically rap beats to purely instrumental strings of Hip-Hop. We throw in your favorite styles– Old School, East & West Coast, International, Christian, Rap core … Tune in for more surprises!

 World Music

 An eclectic playlist of meticulous selection of the best and the most popular beats in all genres from all regions and music forms of the world. This hour is the fusion of the world, music style! Listen to discover other music tastes.

 Latin Music

Listen o playlists of vivacious blend of Latin best. A hot rhythm and many dance forms from across the Latin world. Different styles make up our playlist: Cumbia, Ranchera, Cuban, Caribbean, Meringue, Latin Pop, Raggaeton, Brazilian, Kuduro, Salsa, etc.

 French Slow/Love Songs

A mix of classic French love songs (Chansons d’amour) with a bit of Latin slows

 Inspirational Gospel

A special Gospel hour that combines inspirational message or Christian education and sermons –an intensely vivacious and musical hour on AfricaU. Rendez-vous on Sundays.

 Soukous/Rumba

A dance form from the Congo/Zaire of the 60’s and today marked by Cuban forms like rumba and varied African rhythms.

 Reggae

High-pitch, strong vocal leads, rhythmic beats for non-stop jamming. Listen to the

Rastafarian reggae as well as other forms:  dancehall, pop-raggae, ragga, ska, lovers rock, and roots raggae…

Programs in the French Language

Passiflore– A rebroadcast of popular talk/music from Togo– features interviews and a wide range of current hot topics, especially those relating to women.  The program is in the French language and hosted by 3 women. A must for anyone who wants to know what is in vogue in Togo today.

 Journal Edition Togo– Short 10-15 minutes summary from Togo (AfricaU)

 Le Journal RFI – This is Radio France Internationale’s flagship news programs. We broadcast the first 15-20 minutes of the program. Covers a wide range of topics. Very rich and informative news program. We broadcast live or rebroadcast 30 minutes pas the hour.

 7 milliards de voisins (RFI)

A weekly program reviewing topics relating lifestyles — family, work, women issues, and more.

Listen to callers share their everyday life, events, and struggles.

 Autour de la question (RFI)

Examines pertinent social issues and questions. Topics include science, society technology, psychology environment, economy. The show invites experts to weigh in on these issues.

 L’Epopee des musiques noires (RFI)

Revisits Black Music through music and interviews of noted artists, producers and musicians.

 Religion du monde (RFI) Examines today’s various religious issues

 Grand reportage (RFI) Features special documentaries produced by RFI top correspondents.

 L’expression de la semaine (RFI) Each week, a phrase in the French language is presented and explained in depth with plenty of examples. It’s the phrase of the week not miss.

 Priorité santé (RFI)

Listen to health experts discuss a wide range of health topics.

 La marche du monde (RFI)

A look at 20th century history and big moments through interviews, research, and analysis.

AfricaU Radio Editorial – AfricaU Radio Editor sheds light on a pertinent topic in 5-10 minutes summary.
